Whilst all Laptops come with their own built in / integrated display some users have the need for dual screen display or a larger external display such as a large television screen or a projection unit. The most important specifications when choosing a monitor for your PC or Laptop are size (obviously the bigger the better, resolution (how many lines and columns that can be displayed, the more it has the more sharper the image is), refresh rate (how quickly the on screen image can be refreshed, with fast moving images such as car chases and some sports if you have a poor refresh rate then the picture will look blurred , contrast ratio (this is how good the dark and light colours look together, poorer contrast ratios on some Laptop display’s and monitors can not display dark colours very well such as night shots or something in the shadows. What will happen is that the image will just be to dark to see).
